Today's reel was pure confidence — feet up on a balcony over a harbor full of boats, a straw Dior hat, a menu in hand, and a line across the screen that said it all: "May God always protect us from people who watch but never clap." Captioned simply, "I see You 😏."

Also Today: Coffee, Then the City

The day started slow with a coffee run — a Tiramisu Latte for me, hot chocolate for my son, both from Semicolon, sipped at a sidewalk table before the city picked up around us.

From there, into Manhattan for an event with my favorite company along for the ride — my son, making peace signs in the back seat. A quiet SoHo corner caught my eye on the way, a yellow cab idling at the crosswalk in front of the old cast-iron storefronts.

The event turned out to be a Toy Story 5 moment — a Disney Pixar standee spotted later that evening, still in the city with my son in tow.

The evening wound down at La Farine — a fig-topped pastry dusted with powdered sugar, candlelit tables, and the charm of a Parisian-inspired pâtisserie.
