Thrive, by sculptor Daniel Popper, is a permanent installation near the New River in the heart of Fort Lauderdale — a monumental stone figure whose cupped hands frame a garden passageway underneath. A white floral dress from Dress the Population felt tiny standing under it.
Ferns and palms grow up through the sculpture's cracked stone hands, giving the whole thing a "reclaimed by nature" feel that's hard to capture in a single photo.
